My husband and I got the name Roman from me looking up meaningful, strong names for a boy. Our favorite WWE wrestler is Roman Reigns, which prompted me to look up the meaning of Roman, which means “from Rome.” As a historian and archaeologist it reminds me of how strong and hard the Romans fought, sort of like Roman Reigns. Isaiah means “God is salvation,” and reminds us of our Christian faith and what God has entrusted with us by giving us this child.
